Class Description
90 minute workshop focused on getting from the car to the start line with minimal chaos. You’ll learn strategies to help your dog stay focused on you around the pre-run clown show. We’ll discuss the best options for warm up (exercise jump or stretches at the car), food vs. toy before going in the ring, start line routine.
This is a good fit for new to trialing pups or seasoned dogs who struggle getting in the ring with a brain. Pre-requisite: Dogs must be 6 months or older. Limit 6, cost $20, members only.
Student Expectations
- Be Prepared
- Arrive early and ready to start when class begins
- Stand by when waiting for your turn and follow class running order
- Bring materials such as water, treats, toys, poop bags, etc.
- Wear closed-toe shoes (no flip flops)
- Take dogs to potty and secure in crate
- Be Responsible
- Be accountable for you and your dogs’ actions
- Pick-up dog poop and throw away in trash bin
- Assist in setting up courses if needed
- Be on Task
- Stay focused on the learning of your dog
- Strive to do your best at all times
- Help instructors set bars and equipment when not your turn
- Be Respectful
- Be respectful of others and their dogs
- Listen and follow the directions of the instructors the first time
- Promote a positive learning attitude
